This is an essential course manual for those starting out scanning carotids. It begins with an explanation of anatomy and clinical indications for a duplex carotid exam. Then, a detailed discussion of a normal protocol is explained. Also included, are explanations of varying disease states, the applications of spectral and color Doppler and how they are affected in an abnormal study. Vertebral artery assessment is also included.
